How we reduce refits by up to 50%

Lens returns constitute a negative experience, both for the practitioner and the patient. If the number of refits were to be kept to a minimum the benefits for all parties involved would be clear.

In a recent study we compared the results for a Zenlens fitting for 40 eyes between the diagnostic fitting method and the recommendations from the ESP fitting algorithm.

In this study the diagnostic method led to an average of 3 fittings before the best fit was achieved. In contrast, 85% of the lenses recommended by the ESP fitting algorithm concurred with the final lens fitted on the eye in the diagnostic fashion.

This study shows that the number of refits can easily be reduced conservatively by 40-50% by using the Eye Surface Profiler! Because even if the first recommended lens is not optimal, the ESP gives such rich and valuable data that the next lens will be the right one.
